Browsing tumblr is sort of like the 21st century version of watching TV. Sometimes I like to just come home, turn off my brain, and let loose on the scroll wheel.
/u/internetsuperstar on how tumblr is used.
I really hope Yahoo takes a hands off approach of Tumblr.
I have updated my site. The metro-inspired version 3 design is gone. I have replaced it with a newer type-focused design. You can still see the old version 3 at old domain - yoofie.it.cx
I also have a new domain - yoofie.net which I had for almost a year. This new domain will be my new digital home for, well, forever. I plan on storing everything there. I also plan on updating it consistently with reviews as a life-long personal project. Assuming I will update the site over time, I think it will be cool to see how I change over time. My tastes in books and movies, my thoughts and anything else I take the time to catalog. I think of it as mix of journal and a quantified self type endeavor.
The main site is powered by Symphony CMS and the log is obviously powered by Tumblr. I decided to stick with Symphony CMS since it’s flexibility is unmatched. There are no comments on anything, but I one day I’ll get around to implementing a comment system.
Anyway, I guess that’s all I have to say.
I enjoy watching stupid people suffer from the effects of their idiocy and will often push them in the right direction to make it happen.Me. This came out of the blue when I was talking to my dad talking about stupid things we saw people do.
“I think the answer is we all need a little help, and the coffee’s a little help with everything — social, energy, don’t know what to do next, don’t know how to start my day, don’t know how to get through this afternoon, don’t know how to stay alert. We want to do a lot of stuff; we’re not in great shape. We didn’t get a good night’s sleep. We’re a little depressed. Coffee solves all these problems in one delightful little cup.”
Am I the only one who thinks that the recent DDOS on Mt. Gox is a not-so-clever way to cause people to sell? It crashes the price, then the attackers simply buying it up at a fraction of the price it was before.
Plus, all these articles claiming that bitcoin is in a bubble probably help set off the selling off frenzy, making the price swings that much more wild.
